The Rider App is an application for Blackberry and iPhone/iPod Touch mobile devices that provides information about the Saskatchewan Roughriders including: game statistics and scores, complete team season statistics, season schedule, roster and player information, league results and standings, news articles and blogs, as well as official Rider twitter updates.

How do I install this app?top

The Rider App is available for free from the BlackBerry App World or Apple App Store.  BlackBerry users must have the BlackBerry App World installed on their device in order to install the Rider App.

Why am I getting Connection error 109 and 110 messages on my BlackBerry when I try to use the Rider App?top

Connection type errors are most often caused from two reasons, having an older version of the app installed or by an incorrect permissions setting on your device.

Please ensure you have the latest version installed on your device by visiting the app's installation page on the BlackBerry App World. http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/content/3676

Once you have ensured your app is up to date, please try the following:
Go to the device Options screen and select Applications (this may be under the Advanced Options setting depending on the type of BlackBerry device you are using).  Your device will display the message "Building applications list...".  When it has finished, scroll down to the entry for The Rider App and press the BlackBerry key to open the menu.  Select Edit Permissions and ensure all options are set to Allow then press the Back key to save your settings and exit this screen.

What type of phone do I need?top

The Rider App is compatible with all versions of the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch running OS 2.0 or later and all trackball or touch screen versions of the BlackBerry running OS 4.3 or later.

How much will this cost me?top

The Rider App is available as a free download for all Rider fans to enjoy.

Does this require a data plan?top

Yes. The Rider App connects to the Internet via your wireless carrier's data network and requires a data plan. An unlimited data plan is highly recommended.
